Peppy Lil Spark

Peppy is a son of the legendary Shining Spark, an NRHA Hall of Fame inductee and a 2013 National Reining Horse Association Four Million Dollar Sire. He is also a National Reined Cow Horse Association Four Million Dollar Sire, further solidifying his influence in the performance horse industry.

His dam, Lil Moon Pep, is a daughter of Mr San Peppy, an American Quarter Horse stallion and renowned cutting horse. Mr San Peppy was the National Cutting Horse Association World Champion in both 1973 and 1976.

“Peppy” was the first Quarter Horse stallion I purchased to build my breeding program. He came to me from Quebec, Canada in 2021. His first foal crop arrived in 2022 and included a filly and a colt, with his first filly being Suns Shiny Lil Lady. Since then, he has produced numerous foals that have been placed in a variety of homes, including both family horses and performance prospects for show homes.

Peppy is truly a stallion that many aspire to have in their program. He is exceptionally kind, easy to handle for breeding, and a pleasure to be around in every way. In 2025, I made the decision to sell Peppy to a repeat client. Ultimately, I chose to pursue a double-cream stallion to ensure color consistency in my breeding program. We later acquired a cremello colt by Shining Spark, whom we call Brio, and I can only hope he will develop into a stallion as influential and dependable as Peppy.
